This Independent Contractor Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between Beauty Studio Inc. ("Company") and the undersigned artist ("Contractor").
1. Relationship. Contractor is an independent contractor and not an employee. Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and equipment. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employer-employee relationship.
2. Services. Contractor agrees to provide hair, makeup, and/or beauty services to clients as assigned through the Beauty Studio platform. Contractor may accept or decline assignments at their discretion.
3. Compensation. Contractor will be paid for completed services at the rate agreed upon for each assignment. Payments are issued via direct deposit: within 10 business days for general clients, and NET30 for corporate/production clients.
4. Cancellation Policy. Contractor agrees to provide timely notice if unable to fulfill a confirmed assignment. Cancellations on confirmed appointments may result in account suspension or termination.
5. Professional Standards. Contractor agrees to maintain professional standards of service, punctuality, and client communication. Contractor will arrive on time, prepared with necessary supplies, and dressed appropriately.
6. Confidentiality. Contractor agrees to keep all client information, event details, and company operations confidential. Client photos may only be shared with written client consent.
7. Non-Solicitation. During the term of this Agreement and for 12 months following termination, Contractor agrees not to directly solicit Beauty Studio clients for services outside the platform. This includes sharing of personal contact information such as email, phone number, and social media accounts with clients. Future appointment requests from clients must be directed back to Beauty Studio Inc. Artist requests for specific clients are honored when possible.
8. Insurance & Liability. Contractor is responsible for maintaining appropriate professional liability insurance. Company is not liable for Contractor's actions, negligence, or damages during service delivery.
9. Termination. Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time with written notice. Company reserves the right to deactivate Contractor's account for violations of this Agreement.
10. Governing Law. This Agreement shall be governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the state in which the Contractor resides.
